Dean Schroeder Obituary Renville MN, Dies Sadly in Accident
Dean Schroeder Obituary – Mr. Dean Schroeder, who was 79 years old and lived at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy, died there on Thursday (September 27, 2012) at 5:30 p.m. Dean Schroeder was born on March 11, 1933 in Quincy, Illinois to Edgar and Florence Anna Kerksick Schroeder. He lived with his wife, Sadilee Thyson Beaudet. Mr. Schroeder was a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and served his nation.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and played golf in his spare time. Dean loved music and was a great saxophone player. He’d been a member of Ben Bumbry and the Messengers from its start, and he’d been performing locally for many years. Dean worked for himself as an accountant. He graduated in 1951 after attending Quincy High School and Gem City Business College.
He decided to retire in 1994 as the owner and operator of Capital Business Service in Quincy, owing to his worsening health. Two sons, Douglas Schroeder and Michael Schroeder, both of Quincy; three grandchildren, Logan Schroeder, Courtney Schroeder, and Olivia Schroeder; and two sons, Michael Schroeder and Cheryl Schroeder, both of Quincy. Mr. Schroeder’s original parents, as well as his stepbrother Robert Erke, died before him.
The Schroeder family want to convey their gratitude to every member of the medical community who has assisted them in caring for Mr. Schroeder throughout the years. Mr. Schroeder had the distinction of being cremated as his last disposition. The Reverend John Adams will preside over memorial services at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the All Faiths Chapel.
