Both of the victims were male. The incident took occurred only a few minutes before 6 o’clock in the morning on Route 100 in Douglass Township. Francis Kiefer, 32, of Barto, was reportedly operating a black Nissan Frontier pickup truck in a southerly route when he collided with a deer, as indicated by the statements submitted to the police by the authorities.
Kiefer’s car lost control after it struck with the deer, and it drifted into the northbound lanes of the highway, where it slammed head-on with another black Nissan Frontier pickup truck driven by Raymond Hookway, 64, of Phoenixville.
